More at the Squidoo lens about the Padanian language.
[Shortly, the historian of the Italian language G.L.Beccaria claims that Piedmontese, Lombard and Venetan would not "exist", since "they are group of dialects" (Ansa press release, 2010:http://www.ansa.it/web/notizie/rubriche/cronaca/2010/06/11/visualizza_new.html_1821624844.html).
This claim would easily imply that "languages affected by diatopic variation do not exist", which is clearly absurd]."
